Chapter 1 (cont)

This was the scene that the last member of their group walked in on. He was a bit perplexed to say the least, but it's not like this was anything new, their group got into fights all the time. It was how they bonded. Sort of.

"C'lumbia." said Svea in a voice of gratitude. Finally he was here and they could start the meeting.

Columbia frowned at the greeting turning his ram horned head to Svea, "I wish you guys would call me Jersey Devil, everyone else does."

Columbia folded his arm's across his chest. His long forked tail curling around his waist and his white leathery wings, almost as large as Svea's moved out slightly with Columbia's aggravation before returning to their folded position. Like Svea, Columbia had hooved feet.

"Like, OW, that's just cause, OOOOW, CAULI SERIOUSLY, CUT IT OUT! They don't know what a pretty, CAULI I SWEAR, name you have." said Polonia. His mangled sentence took Columbia a few minutes to decipher.

"Hey! Like Polonia is any better!" he said when he finally figured out that Polonia was insulting him, however his words were completely ignored, for it was at this moment that Romulus finally managed to tug Cauli off the feather-winged devil.

"URI NARA MANSAE!" shouted Cauli as he fell backward onto Romulus making them both tumble to the floor.

"DAMN IT!" shouted Romulus for what everyone who knew him knew wouldn't be the last time.

After a moment or two of struggling the two separated and stood up, Cauli looking victorious and confident and Romulus looking as pissed off as ever. Polonia, still on the floor, rolled over onto his back, and said with a tired sigh, "Can we like, just start the meeting already?"

Shaking himself out of the slight stupor the debacle he had just witnessed had thrown him into, Columbia took a prideful stance, and throwing a pointed finger in the air shouted "Let this month's monthly Kill those Damned Angel's meeting begin!" However he hadn't really needed to shout that because at Polonia's words everyone had begun to shuffle towards their appointed spots on the bottom most step that circled the whole room. Taking his seat opposite Svea, Columbia called the meeting to order.

"All right, first off has anyone encountered any asshole angels lately?" he asked the others, looking around smiling. At the question, Polonia looked away and avoided Columbia's gaze. Romulus was the first to speak up. "Yeah and I'm still pissed about it! Just as I was about to get a soul, that bastard Venesia showed up and cast a miracle on the fucking human so that he didn't need my deal anymore. Gah, I can't stand that idiot!" he shouted pounding his fists down onto his legs in frustration.

"Right then." said Columbia before turning to the other nations. The all had something to say about the angels in their regions. Ever since the devils could remember they had always been trying to destroy the angels by order of their master. However, to this day none of them had succeeded in even figuring out where the angel's headquarters (if they had one that is) where. In addition to this abysmal fact, they also knew only the names and frequented locations of two angels. One of these was Venesia, an angel that frequently foiled Romulus' attempts at soul stealing in Italy, and Sinae, who often messed up Cauli's deals. Not that Cauli seemed to mind. Still, Sinae wasn't sighted in Cauli's base of operation (South Korea) very often, leading Columbia to believe that he did not operate exclusively in Korea, as Cauli did. There were other angels they knew, like a Britannia that Cauli had admitted to meeting once, but they did not know his location and he was rarely seen by the other devils. There was also the unnamed angel Svea mentioned offhandedly once or twice.

Sometimes Columbia felt like maybe the other nations didn't want to catch those bastard angels. Not that it was of much concern to Columbia, he had never been stopped from closing a deal by an angel. Still, it was something that always confused the Jersey Devil, their master had asked them to carry out this duty and they should do it. No, he must have been imagining it. No doubt the other devils in their group would kill those dirty angels if they could.
