Self-explanatory. Here you can talk with other anons about fills, prompts, past connections, anything related to the kink meme!

Please try to keep this post ON TOPIC to discussions related to the kink meme, like rule changes, help finding lost prompts, and questions/discussion pertaining directly to fills or prospective fills. If the fill is formatted in a way that is difficult to read, small, not spaced out, etc, I will hit backspace like lightening. This particular anon happens to have terrible vision as well, so this is extra important for me.

Plus, bad formatting seems to me to be saying that the anon doesn't care enough about their fill to bother posting it in a way that's coherent but time-consuming. And that says to me that the fill is probably less-than-amazing if the author can't even be bothered to take the time to format. I realize this isn't always the case, but in my experience, it usually has been.

I don't understand why some people don't put spaces between paragraphs, etc. It's not like it takes some special skill or html coding to do, and you can preview a comment before posting so you can check. I usually type my fills in MS Word and cut and paste into the LJ comment box. Sometimes formatting will go funny but that's what the preview function is for.

I was looking over some old bookmarks where someone had filled a prompt of mine - they claimed it and wrote to expect bad formatting (and sure enough, the fill was formatted without spaces in between paragraphs or dialogue). This just confuses me.

DA

I think it might be because in novels, there aren't spaces between paragraphs, instead, it is just indented, which we can't even do on the kink meme.

Why someone would know that it doesn't work on LJ and not format with space to accommodate, no clue.

I do the same. I write in Word, then I C&P into a comment box in a private entry in my own journal, I check the formatting and character limit and then put it in the meme. I thought it was the standard procedure.
